A Father's Love, Afraid to Embrace for Fifteen Years
A newborn is diagnosed with epidermolysis bullosa, a congenital condition that makes the skin so fragile that even slight friction can cause it to break. The child will never be able to experience an ordinary embrace. Unable to bear the burden, the mother resolutely leaves, and the father, Huang Zhengtao, takes his daughter to a secluded seaside town far away. For fifteen years, he stays by her side day and night, working multiple jobs to protect her as she grows up, teach her to read, and shield her from prejudice and life's storms. When his daughter reaches the end of her life because of her illness, he finally removes his layers of protective gear and fulfills her final wish with an embrace fifteen years overdue. Thus comes to an end a heartbreaking yet tender story of a father's love.

A un recién nacido le diagnostican epidermólisis bullosa congénita, una enfermedad que vuelve la piel tan frágil que hasta el roce más leve puede dañarla. Por ello, la niña no podrá recibir un abrazo normal durante toda su vida. Incapaz de soportar semejante carga, la madre se marcha resueltamente, y el padre, Huang Zhengtao, lleva a su hija a un tranquilo pueblo costero, lejos de todo.
