Li Mo, who carries Qilin blood, receives a mysterious letter and is forced to return to Suhe County after seven years away. As the Ghost Festival approaches in the middle of the seventh lunar month, strange incidents plague the county. Ghostly shadows reappear at the old hospital, and a woman in red wanders between the worlds of the living and the dead. A family secret buried for twenty-two years slowly comes to light: he is actually one of a pair of twins with an incomplete soul. Traps lurk everywhere around him.
