The Counterattack of the Remarried Wife
Yalan was verbally abused by her mother-in-law Liu Guifang for giving birth to a daughter. After her husband Zhiguo passed away from illness, she was kicked out empty-handed and took her daughter Niuniu to seek refuge with her maiden family, only to be rejected. To protect her daughter, she married her impoverished old schoolmate Xue'an. Upon entering the Zhao family, she faced a cold reception from her mother-in-law and also confronted a bitter feud with their neighbor Wang Mengyang. Enduring hardship, Yalan worked diligently to make a living, actively resolved the grudge between the two families, and partnered with Wang Mengyang in scrap recycling, gradually improving their lives. Liu Guifang's family grew jealous and made trouble; Zhiqiang maliciously suppressed prices and retaliated by arson, later causing the Liu family line to end completely due to an affair conflict. Liu Guifang wanted to take Niuniu back but was refused, and she died in a car accident. Yalan stepped forward to handle her funeral arrangements.
