Wen Yao is calm and easygoing. She accepts her family's arrangement and marries Gu Cize, the young master of the Gu family. On their wedding night, Gu Cize suggests sleeping in separate rooms, and she simply goes along with his wishes, carrying on with her painting, calligraphy practice, and caring for her cat. The more carefree she is, the more Gu Cize craves her attention. He starts coming home early, spending time with her and playing with the cat, and even gets jealous of her pen pal. Wen Yao tiene un carácter tranquilo y despreocupado. Acepta el matrimonio concertado por su familia y se casa con Gu Cize, el joven señor de la familia Gu. Al comienzo de su matrimonio, Gu Cize propone dormir en habitaciones separadas. Ella acepta sus deseos y continúa con su vida habitual: pinta, practica caligrafía y cuida de su gato. Cuanto más cómoda y despreocupada se muestra Wen Yao, más desea Gu Cize captar su atención.
