Li Feng goes out to sea to fish with his eldest uncle, Li Dahai, and second uncle, Li Dajiang. They unexpectedly catch a 500-jin bluefin tuna. Hoping to use the money to pay for his sick younger sister's treatment, Li Feng is betrayed by his greedy relatives, beaten, and abandoned on the reefs of Black Reef Island to die.
