Enemy Forces Besiege the City, the Lychee Noble Consort Pacifies the Realm
One hundred thousand Northern Di troops surround the city, demanding that the frail Noble Consort Shen Qingli marry their crown prince to secure peace. The entire court believes she is nothing more than a delicate beauty, but she alone sees through Prince Jing's conspiracy with the Northern Di to use the marriage alliance as an opportunity to assassinate the emperor and seize the throne. Pretending to be weak, she buys time and lures the Northern Di Crown Prince and assassins into the palace, using a golden lychee token to turn the tables and kill them right before the court. She then uses Northern Di military orders to rescue thirty thousand captured soldiers, exposes Prince Jing's faked death, and draws out the hidden assassins. At the grand spring sacrifice ceremony, every traitor is finally exposed. In the end, the borders are secure and the court is purged of corruption. Only then does the entire palace realize that this seemingly delicate Noble Consort is someone nobody should dare to provoke.
