Sun Tiechui, the leader of a construction team, is forced to accept a barren plot of land in the western suburbs as compensation after an unscrupulous developer withholds his construction payments. There, he meets Zhan Beiye, a general trapped with his troops. Using modern construction equipment, including water pumps, industrial fans, and heavy excavators, Sun Tiechui repeatedly helps the ancient army overcome crises involving water shortages, poisonous smoke, and boulders blocking the valley.
