Thirteen Years of Secret Matters by the Sickbed
In the first year I discovered my husband's affair, I already knew the truth, but pretended nothing was wrong and endured it for thirteen years. When he became seriously ill, he transferred all six apartments to his illegitimate son and forced me to accept my fate. Leaning closer, I smiled faintly. "I have a secret too, one I've kept from you for thirteen whole years." The properties he transferred had long been under my control, and the company was already in my name. I wasn't after the money; I only wanted to secure my daughter's future. He wept with regret as I turned and walked away.
