Mountain Uncle, Taking Nine Nephews to Rush into the Mountains and Get Rich
In the 1980s, Zhou Ye, a former forest firefighter discharged from the military, returns home to find that his elder sister and brother-in-law have died unexpectedly. At their funeral, nine nephews are about to be split up among relatives to settle debts! Zhou Ye takes full responsibility for raising all nine children. The Nine Apertures Mountain and River Map left behind by his sister gradually unlocks as the children place their trust in him, granting him the abilities to track prey and identify animal footprints, recognize mushrooms and medicinal plants, locate medicinal herbs through mountain veins, and discover hidden springs. Drawing on the wilderness skills he acquired during his military service, he hunts, gathers herbs, cultivates mushrooms, and establishes a fair purchasing station for local mountain produce. While raising all nine children and helping them pursue their education, he also pieces together the truth, uncovering that his sister and brother-in-law did not die in an accident, and fights back against greedy relatives and unscrupulous merchants.
