She Beats the Drum to Calm the River, Toppling a Century-Old Ancestral Rule
The Chen family has upheld strict ancestral rules for generations, forbidding women from ever touching the dragon drum. The entire village waits eagerly to see Liang Xing humiliated in public. But the woman who was insulted and driven out refuses to bow her head. Instead, she gathers a group of unfortunate sisters and restores the long-abandoned Thunder Dragon boat! They carve paddles, practice synchronized rowing, and master the rhythm of the drum. In just half a month, the ragtag women's team everyone looked down on has been transformed under her leadership into an unstoppable force on the river! When their rivals secretly sabotage them and surround them on the racecourse, they are left utterly stunned as the Thunder Dragon surges through the waves.
