In a crowded market alley, the destitute youth Xia Ren crosses paths with the swindler-like Mu Lao. Holding out so-called secret manuals, Mu Lao claims Xia Ren is destined for immortal cultivation and tries to sell him an encounter with destiny for five and a half spirit stones. Xia Ren scoffs and turns away, only to be struck dumb by an unexpected meat bun. As it turns out, this seemingly deceitful old man is actually the 107th sect master of the Xuanming Sect. From a single steamed bun, a fateful encounter between a mortal and an immortal unfolds—is it a trap, or true divine providence?
