At the Fourth Watch, the Dream Shatters; Strangers in This Life
Song Yueli married into the He family three years ago and spent her entire dowry supporting the household. While the ancestral hall was being renovated, she discovered that the family genealogy had been altered and that she had been demoted to the status of a concubine. On her deathbed, her mother-in-law admitted that she had orchestrated everything, simply out of pity for someone else's loneliness. At the funeral hall, Song Yueli endured humiliation after humiliation. After obtaining the document dismissing her as a concubine, she left that very night and took over the Song family's pharmacy. On its opening day, Fang Hanshuang and He Zhian publicly demanded that she return. Without the slightest panic, Song Yueli revealed an imperial-granted bridal veil—and the prefect's sedan chair was already waiting at the street entrance.
