In the 1970s in Daliu Village, Liu Hao, a quirky village girl doted on by her entire family, is accidentally knocked into the river and casually rescues Shen Qinghe, a cold educated youth from Beijing who is suffering from cramps and drowning. With the phrase 'A life-saving grace shall be repaid by giving oneself in marriage,' Liu Hao directly recruits the handsome educated youth into her family as a uxorilocal husband.
