Young Lin Chuan invests his entire net worth to return to his village, planning to build a resort that will lead all of Taoyuan Village to prosperity. However, greedy villager Zhao Dabiao makes extortionate demands, maliciously obstructs the project, gathers mobs to make threats, and spreads slander, holding the development's lifeline hostage. Caught in a crisis of overdue bank loans and wavering villagers, Lin Chuan stages a stunning turnaround: he alters the plans to bypass the Zhao family homestead and builds a far more profitable ecological zoo right around it, trapping their house inside the park. Zhao Dabiao's subsequent attempts to collude with outside capital and incite the villagers are all dismantled by Lin Chuan one by one. By thwarting corporate plots and resolving village disputes, Lin Chuan successfully passes on a flourishing industry, lifting Taoyuan Village out of poverty once and for all.
