Trapped in the Book I Wrote
Su Wan crosses into the historical angst novel she wrote, becoming Shen Wanqing, the female lead destined for a tragic end. Facing the cold-violent Fourth Prince and the scheming concubine from the original book, Su Wan changes the plot instead of her character setup. Using modern common sense and sharp-tongued sarcasm, she defuses bullying and breaks the formula of "angst." From mutual probing with the prince to building trust, she displays her wisdom while investigating the noble consort's framing case and the assassin crisis, eventually confessing the truth about crossing into the book to the prince. Together, they shatter the original book's tragic destiny, moving from resistance and backtalk to a proactive confession, and finally achieving a HE ending through the Empress Dowager's bestowed marriage, rewriting the story from tragedy to comedy.

Face au Quatrième Prince adepte de la violence froide et à la concubine machiavélique du livre d'origine, Su Wan modifie l'intrigue plutôt que son propre rôle. À grand renfort de bon sens moderne et de répliques cinglantes, elle désamorce le harcèlement et brise les stéréotypes de la « tragédie ». Passant de la défiance mutuelle avec le prince à l'instauration d'une vraie confiance, elle déploie toute son intelligence lors de l'enquête sur le complot de la noble concubine et la crise des assassins, pour finir par avouer au prince la vérité sur son incursion dans le livre. Ensemble, ils réduisent à néant le destin tragique de l'œuvre originale, évoluant de la résistance frondeuse à l'aveu spontané, pour finalement décrocher une fin heureuse grâce au mariage accordé par l'Impératrice Douairière, parachevant ainsi la réécriture de la tragédie en comédie.
