I Was So Poor My Water and Electricity Were Cut Off, Yet Huo Chenzhou Said He Gave Me Two Million
Shen Zhi and Huo Chenzhou once went through thick and thin together. After Huo Chenzhou became wealthy, Shen Zhi became his kept canary due to her father's debts. At her birthday banquet, she received a 25-yuan chipped pearl necklace and was publicly humiliated, whereas Huo Chenzhou had actually prepared an 800,000 diamond necklace and two million monthly living expenses, all of which were intercepted by the gentle assistant Wen Yirou. Wen Yirou forged agreements, ruined Shen Zhi's job, and cyber-bullied and framed her. Shen Zhi fell ill from distress and confronted her by gathering evidence alone. Huo Chenzhou had long sensed the conspiracy, feigned comfort toward Wen Yirou, and rooted out the behind-the-scenes capitalist Zhao Wansheng. Wen Yirou went to prison and spread rumors that Huo Chenzhou brought down the Shen family, leading to a split between the two. Shen Zhi investigated the truth, defused a kidnapping crisis, and cleared up the misunderstanding. After getting married and having a daughter, they finally achieved fulfillment.
