Ostracized by the Whole Village, White Wolf Helps Me Claim Justice
Qingxi Village orphan Liu Qinghe was falsely accused of bringing bad luck to her husbands. In the bitter winter, she met an injured white snow wolf and saved it. The wolf spat out an engraved jade pendant belonging to her deceased fiancé Gu Huaichuan, and she only then learned that her fiancé had been murdered by Han Laolun, the chieftain of the Beishan bandits. The jealous woman Gu Wanxu spread rumors, and the county yamen's Master Wang colluded with the bandits, forging a wanted warrant to silence her. Liu Qinghe cleverly obtained the spoils-sharing ledger, intercepted the imperial inspector passing through the city to sound the drum of grievance, and presented physical evidence in court, causing the official-bandit network to collapse one after another.
