A chipped, old bicycle was the source of embarrassment that Lin Hao most desperately wanted to avoid, yet it was also the love his father, Lin Jianguo, could never bear to let go. A parent-child storytelling activity with family keepsakes gradually unearths the secrets hidden behind the bicycle bell, the brake cable, old receipts, and a missing watch. Journeying from disdain and avoidance to guilt and questioning, the young boy finally realizes that every silent ride his father took was shielding him from the wind. Yet just as the truth unfolds, a letter marked "Eighteen Years Old" pushes father and son toward a new crossroads.
