Mother-in-law Shen Yaqin secretly gave all the demolition compensation and resettlement apartments to her younger son Gu Jingchuan for opening a shop, buying a car and paying debts, yet she refused to pay a cent when her elder son Gu Jingchen had a sudden heart attack and was 300,000 short for surgery, and even dragged her luggage to move into his home for her old age. His wife Su Qingyan could take it no longer and threw her mother-in-law out with her luggage, sparking a fierce conflict over favoritism, support, money and family. When the younger son's investment fails, he is drowning in debt and kicks his mother out, Shen Yaqin finally realizes that her years of favoritism and indulgence ruined both sons' lives and left herself with no one to rely on in old age.
