Kowloon Walled City is slaughtered by the combined forces of the Japanese Jiuju Yiliu school and Western occultists. Mao Shiba leads reinforcements from the Mao sect to help, but his entire sect is wiped out, leaving him to bring back only their sacred relics. A year later, mutated corpses frequently appear in the walled city. Mao Shiba unites with the Six Paths of Kowloon's Taoist sects to investigate, discovering that the Japanese are using a three-corpse formation to summon rain and spread a plague. Mao Shiba burns his own lifespan to break the formation and is rescued by his runaway fiancée, Ninth Miss. As the two dig deeper, they uncover Western occult involvement and the Mao sect traitor Mao Xiaogang hiding in their midst. In the end, Mao Shiba invokes the descent of the Third Prince, crushing the onmyoji and Westerners to protect the people of Kowloon Walled City.
