Broken Engagement in the 70s: I Rely on a Pair of Hands to Support the Whole Family
In 1972, fashion designer Chen Lin travels through time and becomes a rural girl in the 1970s. She gets her engagement broken after being framed by her cousin. She argues strongly and successfully separates from the family. She makes a living by dyeing cloth, making rouge, and sewing wedding dresses. After marriage, she faces difficulties from her in-laws, sets up stalls, submits manuscripts for publication, and works in a factory as a designer. She is framed by villains many times but never gives in. Later, she resigns and opens a wedding dress workshop, goes south to do business, brings her family to settle in the city. The wicked suffer the consequences of their own actions, and she finally gains a happy and fulfilling life.

Nel 1972, Chen Lin, una stilista, viaggia nel tempo e diventa una ragazza di una famiglia contadina negli anni settanta. Il suo fidanzamento viene sciolto dopo essere stata incastrata dalla cugina. Difende con fermezza i propri diritti e riesce a separarsi dalla famiglia. Si guadagna da vita tingendo tessuti, producendo cipria e cucendo abiti da sposa. Dopo il matrimonio affronta le difficoltà poste dalla famiglia del marito, vende in banchine, invia testi per la pubblicazione e lavora come stilista in una fabbrica. Viene calunniata più volte da persone malvagie ma non si arrende mai. In seguito si dimette e apre una bottega di abiti da sposa, si reca al sud per commerciare e porta la famiglia a stabilirsi in città.
