On a winter night when she was ten, Grandma passed away. Little Xiaoman set off firecrackers alone to announce the mourning, thinking no one would come. But one, two, more than a dozen flashlight beams shone from all directions across the village. From that day on, she became the child of the entire village—raised on meals from every household, her college tuition gathered by all the villagers. At thirty, having founded Zhongman Group, she returns to the village, wanting to repay not with money, but for the light of that night.
