Chen Yanchuan, escorting goods for the first time, sets out with his master Han Jingshan to transport land redemption money for seventeen households of Taoxi Village, but they are blocked on a mountain road by a black coffin. Along the way, traps, ambushes, heavy rain, and stealthy thefts strike one after another, and Han Jingshan is accidentally wounded. Moving past his impulsive, competitive nature, Chen Yanchuan gradually learns observation, restraint, and honoring trust. Ultimately seeing through an imposter from the grain guild, they deliver the ransom before the deadline, showing Chen Yanchuan that the hardest part of being an escort is not defeating foes, but safely delivering the people and goods placed in one's care.
