Shen Yuan possesses a unique gift for listening to ocean currents and detecting schools of fish, helping his uncle Wang Jianqiang reap massive harvests time and again. Yet when splitting the profits, Wang Jianqiang breaks his fifty-fifty promise, tossing him a mere five hundred yuan while mocking his talent. Shen Yuan takes the money without groveling, turns around to buy a high-powered searchlight, and strides resolutely toward an abandoned shipyard. An old boat repaired by Old Man Sun becomes his foundation to strike out on his own. Free of resentment or fruitless conflict, Shen Yuan relies on practical grit, intelligence, and relentless drive to reclaim his dignity and forge his own destiny.
