Five-Year Contract: I Became the Apple of Gu Yanting's Eye
Single mother Lin Xihe raises her sick daughter, Lin Nuannuan, all by herself. Her daughter urgently needs 600,000 yuan for surgery, but her mother transfers the money to her younger brother, Lin Ze, for the down payment on his wedding home. Her father even pressures her to give up pursuing the money. With nowhere else to turn, she agrees to become Gu Yanting's wife in name only for a monthly salary of 50,000 yuan, with all of her daughter's medical expenses covered. When Lin Xihe and Gu Yanting take their wedding registration photos, they are as distant as strangers. She smiles when they obtain their marriage certificate only because her daughter can now be saved, but Gu Yanting mistakes her for a woman who covets wealth and status. This marriage begins as a transaction. Two wounded souls each seek what they need during their five-year contract, unaware that fate has already begun quietly intertwining their lives.
