Bamboo Leaves Hide Mountains and Rivers
In late autumn at Luoxing Cliff, Ye Qing, a young man in a green shirt, bitterly practiced the fast bamboo sword all day long. His swordsmanship was swift and fierce, able to cut dead leaves into pieces in mid-air, yet he could never win the recognition of Bai He at the cliff top. Bai He woke him up with a single remark: his sword had only speed but no foundation, and could only chop off things that were meant to wither, failing to see the injustice and suffering hidden in Qingshi Town down the mountain. Suddenly enlightened, Ye Qing went down the mountain and ran into Huang You bullying the town resident Tu Shen under the guise of collecting grain. He stepped in with his bamboo sword to stop it, but unwilling to hurt anyone, forced the opponent back using only the sword hilt.
