He Yuan, the youngest son of the Prince of Lanling in Great Qing, was widely known as the "foolish little prince." His elder brothers fell in battle, leaving behind three sisters-in-law. After pestering Princess Pingyang and facing retaliation, He Yuan's body is taken over by a modern soul. No longer a fool and facing his sisters-in-law's expectations, he resolves to turn his fate around. He later discovers Princess Pingyang staged the indecency on purpose just to marry him and avoid an unwanted political marriage to Yan. The reigning Emperor, the princess's brother, is merely a puppet controlled by Empress Dowager Shen, who schemes to place her own son Su Tianming on the throne. A brewing storm now begins.
