The controller Sui Yi throws Shen Yi, Zhi Xia, Fu Lin, and Song Shiyi into a manor survival game. Once their wrist countdown hits zero, they will be eliminated; only mutual protection and emotional bonds can increase their time. Zhi Xia awakens the skill of absolute obedience, while Song Shiyi gains mind-reading abilities. The four go from mutual wariness to life-and-death reliance. Along the way, they encounter Li Wanwan and Mei Yun, former players whose data was erased. Song Shiyi discovers that this world is merely a cycle of deception created by Sui Yi to resurrect a lost love, and that they have already died countless times. In the end, a button is placed before them: press it, and the game ends with everything annihilated; don't press it, and the unknown game of life and death continues.
