As a viral apocalypse looms, Chen Shan risks everything to take his parents deep into the mountains to their ancestral home. Renovating the house and stockpiling supplies, they build a formidable survival fortress. When the virus sweeps across the land and cities collapse, sound-tracking zombies roam freely and communications are severed. Confined to their secluded haven, the family keeps vigil day and night using surveillance and an observation deck—fending off zombies, staying alert against scavengers eyeing their resources, and using the mountain terrain to hold their ground in silence, awaiting the return of order.
