Four Stranger Drivers, Sending My Father Home
Truck driver He Guoping suddenly passed away during a freight run far away, lying lonely in the cab for three days before being found. His elderly father, wife, and eight-year-old daughter He Xiaohe were over 1,500 kilometers away, with no one at home able to drive a heavy-duty truck, nor any means to bring him and the vehicle back. After a request for help was posted in a truck drivers' chat group, faced with practical concerns such as bad luck, liability, and road expenses, four unfamiliar truck drivers—Zhou Dajiang, Guo Haifeng, Sun Mingliang, and Du Xiaochuan—took the initiative to step forward, paying 12,000 yuan in travel expenses out of their own pockets, cleaning He Guoping's cab, bringing back his ashes, and deciding to complete his final delivery before sending him home.
