Full of Sincerity, Yet Falling Short of a Single Bill
Single mother Zhou Xiumei raised her daughter Shen Yating all by herself, supporting her all the way from elementary school to her master's degree. Pouring everything she had into twenty years, she spent 876,000. On her daughter's wedding day, however, her daughter looked down upon her as shabby and unpresentable, refused to let her sit at the main table, and even publicly collected an 8,800 banquet fee from her. With her heart completely chilled to the core, she dug out twenty years of receipts and transfer records, calculated the 688,000 that her daughter had promised in person to return after reaching adulthood item by item, and took her to court. With biological mother and daughter confronting each other in court, how on earth will this ledger be settled?
