Gaokao Results Released, My Daughter Is the First to Urge Me to Divorce
Upon the release of the Gaokao scores, daughter Zhou Nian'an did not report her score, but instead persuaded her mother An Ning to get a divorce. An Ning only then discovered that her husband Zhou Minghai had been unfaithful for nineteen years, and his illegitimate daughter was in the same year of the Gaokao as her own daughter. The Zhou family used the two girls' Gaokao scores in a competition to determine the seating on the family tree, mocking Zhou Nian'an for scoring zero points. Little did they know she was the provincial top scorer in arts, and her score had been officially withheld. An Ning resolutely divorced, fought for compensation with her daughter's assistance, and broke free from the suffocating Zhou family. After the divorce, An Ning picked up her craft again to become a mortician, and the mother and daughter broke free from the old family, rushing towards a brand-new life of their own.
