He Xiulian, the director of the Shigeng Village Pepper Cooperative, firmly adheres to the management principle of distributing bonuses based on the amount of pepper delivered. She withstands Miao Youcai's collusion with villagers demanding an equal split of bonuses and his theft of the price list to harm the fellow townspeople, clarifying the accounts and upholding the bottom line of integrity. In the end, she takes the lead in establishing six business regulations, erecting a stone tablet to make the rules clear, improving the ten-day public announcement system, leading the cooperative to steadily expand production and increase income, and driving the fellow townspeople together onto the prosperous path of honest management.
