Imperial Schemes Meet a Phoenix Beauty
Ying Yuan, the Crown Prince of Chu held hostage in Great Chu's enemy state, becomes a prisoner and unexpectedly binds himself to an Imperial Hegemony Enhancement System. Whenever he serves Ji Ruxue, the powerful and possessive Grand Princess who holds sway over the court, he can seize fortune and accumulate power. Ji Ruxue treats Ying Yuan as her personal plaything and declares that she will cage him like a canary. On the surface, Ying Yuan is obedient and willingly caters to her every whim, even serving at her feet. Behind the scenes, however, he exploits the Grand Princess's trust to plant secret pieces, weave an elaborate web, and stir up the court of Great Yan. From risking his life to take an arrow for her during the spring hunt to plotting for power amid the chaos of war, he walks a fine line between political intrigue and dangerous intimacy. When cavalry finally breaches the imperial capital, the once-humble hostage prince takes his seat on the Dragon Throne. Now it is the turn of the once-arrogant master who stood above him to face this fate-reversing struggle of desire and power.
