Eighteen-year-old death row prisoner Ye Lin is recruited by a special investigation unit before his execution and becomes involved in the global "Death Cycle." Each death exam forces candidates to find the only way to survive within limited time under bizarre rules. Facing mutants, corpse tides, and human schemes, Ye Lin relies on his extraordinary observation skills and near-cold-blooded deductions to repeatedly break through deadly situations. Along the way, he joins forces with An Ke, whose identity is hidden, as their mutual suspicion gradually turns into teamwork. But when their points are enough to exchange for power and even leave the cycle, they discover that the so-called exams are merely a selection process. The missing people, mysterious organizations, and secrets of the "god" all point toward an even greater disaster.
