Eighteen-year-old death row prisoner Ye Lin is recruited by a special investigation unit before his execution and dragged into the global "Death Cycle." Each death exam forces candidates to find the only way to survive under strange rules and deadly time limits. Facing mutants, corpse tides, and human schemes, Ye Lin uses his astonishing observation skills and nearly ruthless deductions to repeatedly break through impossible situations, gradually moving from mutual suspicion to fighting alongside An Ke, whose identity is hidden. But when their points are enough to exchange for power and even leave the cycle, they discover that the so-called exam is only a selection process. The missing people, mysterious organizations, and secrets of the "god" all point toward an even greater disaster.
