Shen Chuan, a skilled craftsman, partners with his uncle by marriage to run Ruixiang Gold Shop. Once the business booms, his uncle reneges on their profit-sharing agreement. Enraged, Shen Chuan walks away and restarts his goldsmithing craft in a humble shack. Ruixiang secures a massive handcrafted order using the samples he left behind, but cuts corners and rushes production, leading to disastrous quality flaws, breach of contract, and heavy penalties. His uncle then launches a promotion offering zero labor fees for gold trade-ins, secretly embezzling customers' gold until being investigated.
