Golden Age: My Diesel Engine Roars Across the Wheat Fields (52 episodes)

The wisest decision Zhang Haiyang made in his life was to smash his ancestral carrying pole on a night of severe drought that year, pouring all his savings into buying a diesel engine. Relying on the machine, fresh spring water irrigated the parched wheat fields, reviving the hopes of the entire village. In that most down-to-earth era, he led his fellow villagers forward step by step. Later, as conditions improved and paved asphalt roads reached their doorsteps, the broken carrying pole on the wall quietly told the story of two generations passing the torch. The waves of wheat on this plain grew more golden year after year, and life became increasingly prosperous each day.
