Grandpa Is Not a Guest
For the sake of appearances, Jiang Peiru refuses to let her plainly dressed father-in-law attend their housewarming banquet. Her husband, Su Maocheng, knows his father is downstairs but chooses to remain silent and avoid the situation. It is only when their son, Su Yichen, reveals the truth about the 560,000 yuan down payment and years of financial support that they realize they took the old man's home and made him feel like a guest. Faced with his drafty old house, a blue ledger filled with the words 'No need to repay,' and a father who still worries whether his children have eaten, the couple finally stop making excuses. They repair his house, keep accounts, provide living expenses, and reserve a room for him in their new home, repaying their long-overdue filial duty through actions.
