Hand Over the Keys, I Ended the People-Pleasing Life of Shared Renting
Lin Wan cooked dinner for her shared-rent roommates for a year, with the 500 yuan per month only splitting ingredient costs, yet she was accused of making a profit on the price difference. New roommate Zhou Ke promised her chef boyfriend Zhang Kai would cook for free, and everyone immediately turned on her, forcing her to refund the money. Lin Wan refunded the prepaid amount in full, stopped giving and moved out. The so-called free meals quickly turned into endless errands, charges, and problematic ingredient scandals, and the roommates regretted it and begged her to come back. Relying on her culinary skills to run an independent lunchbox stall, she refused emotional kidnapping and exposed Zhou Ke for taking orders under a false name. In the end, she guarded her life boundaries and won back her income, friendship, and freedom.
