To support her daughter and repay debts, Lin Xiu endured the heartbreak of leaving her four-year-old daughter with the child's uncle and went abroad to work alone. Abroad, she lived frugally and sent a high monthly child-support allowance without fail. Eight years later, Lin Xiu finally paid off all her debts.
