Harvesting Waxberries Before the Storm, Yet They Say My Heart Is Black
During the waxberry ripening season, fruit farmers in Qingshi Village felt the ten-yuan purchase price was too low, collectively rejecting buyer Zhou Chuan and even tearing up the contract in public. Who would have known that heavy rain would block the roads and the fruit would spoil rapidly, causing their dreams of eighteen and twenty yuan to plummet all the way down to a few yuan or even cents. On the other side, the contract-abiding Yunhe Village successfully sold its fruit, also securing a three-year cooperation and a million-level pre-cooling project. In the second year, Qingshi Village relearned how to do business according to contracts, quality, and rules.
