Cultural relics editor Mu faces hurdles renting an apartment and unexpectedly reunites with her university military training instructor, Feng Lie. Feng pretends to rent out his place and share an apartment with her, agreeing to act as a fake couple to fend off family marriage pressure. During their cohabitation, Feng is thoughtful in every way, quietly shielding her from difficult relatives, harassing troublemakers, and workplace dilemmas. Living together, Mu gradually lets down her guard and confesses her feelings while drunk, confirming their relationship. With her talent and knowledge, Mu wins the approval of Feng's family elders. As Feng's hidden wealthy background is revealed, the two hand-in-hand navigate high-society affairs, running toward each other and embracing a warm, peaceful married life.
