In Crescent Bay during the late 1980s, three-and-a-half-year-old East Sea Little Dragon Girl Chen Tuantuan rides golden waves into the mortal realm, leaping into poor fisherman Chen Haisheng's arms and immediately calling him dad. Relying on his solid skills and Tuantuan's miraculous sea perception, he gets to know Su Mingyue, the female boss of Mingyue Restaurant, and gradually opens supply channels for restaurants, aquatic stations, railways, and provincial capitals. Facing the mockery of old house relatives, as well as peer blockades and sabotage, Chen Haisheng strikes back time and again with rich catches and strict rules—repairing houses, treating illnesses, buying boats, building processing sheds, establishing mutual-aid groups, and ultimately taking a stake in cold storage. He leads his whole family and fellow villagers to live prosperous lives, giving the little dragon girl stranded in the mortal world a truly warm and complete home.
