Over two thousand years ago, the State of Qi annexed the State of Ji. Marquis of Ji committed suicide after defeat, but his surviving family was rescued and taken off Earth by an alien starship, leaving behind an interstellar marker by protocol. Two millennia later, during archaeological excavations at Dagu scenic area, auto repair shop owner Wang Zida picked up a small round metal sphere—an alien device treated as scrap iron. Years later, as the era of autonomous driving arrived, Wang Zida, who rejected new tech after losing family in an autonomous driving crash, immersed himself in the metaverse. Suddenly, the alien device triggered a signal, and an unidentified spacecraft descended upon Earth. Ji Nanxing, a descendant of the State of Ji taken to outer space, returned to ancestral Earth, and the adventure begins.
