Chen Feng, the third-generation heir of Chen's BBQ, kept Wang's BBQ thriving with his superb culinary skills, only to be heartlessly fired by his boss and childhood friend Wang Hao. Supported by his wife Su Qing with all their savings, Chen Feng resolutely reopens Chen's BBQ right across from Wang Hao. Wang Hao repeatedly resorts to dirty tricks to suppress Chen's BBQ, but Chen Feng turns the tables through his ancestral craft and honest business, gaining massive exposure from food vloggers, tens of millions in investment, and winning the BBQ Championship. Wang Hao's unscrupulous practices eventually backfire, and when his mother falls gravely ill, Chen Feng puts aside old grievances to lend a helping hand. In the end, Wang Hao repents, and Chen Feng stays true to his roots, expanding Chen's BBQ across the entire city and becoming a barbecue godfather defending craftsmanship and dignity.
