Su Wan, the only daughter of the Su family, devoted her entire fortune in her previous life to helping Xie Huai and four others rise to power, only to be framed for colluding with the enemy and brutally executed alongside her father. Reborn at sixteen, she sees through the hypocrisy of Xie Huai and the others and ruthlessly shuts them out, thereafter concealing her identity and living as “Madam Su.” She gathers Shen Yanzhi, Shitou, Cao'er, Niqiu, and Adai, five down-and-out people, each with their own unique talents. Step by step, she cuts off their sources of wealth, dismantles their faction, and lures the enemy into the open. In the end, she topples the corrupt group led by Chief Grand Secretary Xie Huai and avenges her family's blood feud. After achieving her revenge, Su Wan establishes the “Buqi Academy” to shelter orphaned and destitute children, staying by her father's side as she rediscovers the warmth of life.
