Sold into the Qiao family at the age of five, Chu Heng was fortunate to have Miss Qiao Furong treat her like a sister. Furong taught her literacy, medicine, and culinary skills, and before getting married, returned her indenture contract, urging her to live freely through her own hands. Relying on the craft passed down by the young mistress, Chu Heng established the immensely popular Furong Restaurant in Weicheng, only to receive the tragic news that the young mistress died horribly at her husband's home while pregnant. To repay this debt of salvation and grace, she meticulously plots and strategizes, avenging the unjustly deceased mistress single-handedly and making all the evildoers pay their due price.
