Qin Yuzheng, a top scientific researcher and the chief scientist of a national laboratory at just thirty-three, appears cool and restrained to the outside world. Yet he has long been troubled by a psychological condition: he feels completely indifferent toward all women, which ultimately led to the divorce of his family-arranged marriage. For three whole years, he has had the exact same recurring dream about Yang Zhiyan, a qipao designer he met only once. Numb to the entire world, he finds himself overcome with an instinctive fixation toward this stranger alone.
