Late on a rainy night, a ride-hailing car crashes into a breakfast stall, injuring the vendor. The driver, Chen Zheng, insists that a drunk passenger seized the steering wheel. The dashcam happens to be missing thirteen seconds at this exact moment. Insurance surveyor Chen Ning, who arrives at the scene, discovers that the driver involved is none of her own father. She voluntarily reports the conflict of interest to recuse herself, yet within the bounds of the rules, she pieces back together the evidence: the unplugged power cord, the image reflected in the convex mirror, and the recovered audio fragments.
